Randomly decided to check out Long Legged Woman’s Myspace page and got this piece of bummer news:
So, friends and enemies, it is true. Long Legged Woman is no more. Done. Finished. Three years, 8 cdr’s, one tape, one 7 inch, one LP, and a bunch of “tours” later we’ve decided to not go separate ways but do some different shit. Get my drift. We’re not quitting music, in fact, we’re making more shit now than ever. There will be new bands, new tunes, new records, etc etc. Look out. Never-ending tour starts spring of next year, so we’ll be in your town whether you want it or not. The new bands are yet to be determined, named, etc.
Thor’s Rubber Hammer has been unabashed LLW fans from the very beginning — we released two of those CDRs and the “Something Is Pressing Against It From The Inside” 7″. They also appeared on the Deeded to Itself comp. There are still just a few of the Newtown Nights CDR left. There are also a few copies of the psychedelic redneck 12″, Nobody Knows This Is Nowhere, in the distro.
We’re excited about the new projects, though. Gabe Vodicka has been doing a folkie thing in Georgia for over a year now. Alex will probably start a thrash band of some sort — well, at least we’d like him to. And Justin and Jeff have already started Busch League, which we’re stoked to hear.
